That is great Jo, to get it so that detail can be seen against the sky is good work.

Terrific.

Cheers

Thanks Steve.

I've been hoping to get photos of the Red kite flying and managed it finally.

These are four images manually stitched together to give a fluid motion of his flight.

Absolutely stunning Jo. How we wish the star system was still available ********** 10/10 for the shots 12/10 for the way you put them together. If it was ours we would be entering it for every competition out there, it's got winner written all over it.

Brilliant shot (or shots) - were they all taken of the same take-off?
My only complaint is that the site does not allow it to be shown any larger. It's one to print large, and frame for your wall.

Stunning jo. Perfect timing and well done your patience not giving up as I know what its like standing waiting/sitting by our local park pond for the heron to take off but not yet. Looks great against the warm graduated colour of the sky.

Thanks for your encouraging comments.

Some of you have asked how it was done.  You may like to see the Photo feature I wrote recently.

The feature explains how I've used the Continuous burst mode to do this kind of photo.
