Hi everyone, I bought an HS30 about 10 months ago and I'm still learning. Had a Finepix S1500 before that I still use for work as a (semi-retired) marine electrician. Before that an Oly E-10, 2 Casios and a Vivitar back in the 90s when digital cameras first appeared on the scene. Hope to learn new things here and possibly contribute something in return.

Hi,I've been using Nikon DSLR cameras for a long time, when I upgraded my D7000 to a D800 I never quite got along with it. I'd like to share a blog post I made about my choice to move from Nikon to Fuji and also say hi to everyone here! http://blog.richardberryphotography.co.uk/2013/05/a-bold-move/ I look forward to sharing images and learning from these forums. It's great to be a part of a community.

Hi peeps,I am new to this forum and new to photography. Well, I just take pictures occasionally (at parties, on vacation, exhibition...). I bought a fujifilm finepix s2995 a few months ago because my old 3.2MP camera was getting slower and started bugging on startup. I have some pictures uploaded on my flickr account: http://www.flickr.com/photos/13037849@N04/

HelloI actually got the camera after mounted frustration with my I-pod. Initially bowled over by the quaility it quickly grew old when taking pics in dark or moving conditions. So I thought I'd treat myself and got the S2980 of Amazon.

Just bought an HS30 to use as a more versatile travel camera, and it seemed a good idea to join here.25 years ago I worked a little semi-pro in London, but gave it up due to the pressures orf work and family. Started taking pictures with a Samsung S850 compact again a few years ago, and enjoyed the flexibility of processing digitally and the lack of D&P costs (still seems to take as much time as it ever did though!).

Hello everyone,I got my first "proper" camera yesterday, I say proper as I've only ever had compact point & shoot snapshot type cameras before. After much deliberation between the Canon Sx50 and Finepix HS30 I opted for the latter, mainly because the expert in the camera shop swayed me that way.  Hope I picked right !

Hello, I've been out of photography for some time now. I used to use Nikon FM2, 8008's, N90's and Mamiya RB67's. Since then I've been mostly using P&S cameras until I moved up to Canon G series (nice but not reliable. breaks down alot).

My wife bought me a Finepix S3280 (14MP) camera for Christmas. I have used the camera a few times and are disappointed with the results. I have reset and set the images to Fine and L4:3 which should give me the best quality according to the manual. In comparison to my work Canon SX210 (14.1MP) pocket camera the images are still poor. Looking at the properties of the files they show 72dpi in comparison with 180dpi with the Canon images. I like the Fuji and its flexibility and want to persevere with it. Can anyone help me sort this out please.

I just purchased an HS30 EXR while on vaca in San Francisco.  The salesmans demonstration was wonderful!!  But I don't seem to be able to duplicate anything he was able to do!  I am desparate because I am leaving for Africa in ONE WEEK (4/3).  That is why I bought this camera.  My biggest disappointments so far is if anyone or anything moves, it is blurry/out of focus.  This is particularly bad in natural light settings, but seems to improve with the flash.  However, the flash is SO bright everyone is washed out.  I am a complete novice but I so want

Hello all. New to Fuji but not to photography. I've been semi serious since the days a 1gig IBM micro drive cost more then a Nikon D5000. Always been a Nikon shooter but happened upon a deal that just happened to include a Fuji S3 Pro along with the Nikon 24-120 VR lens so I've added it to my stable. Upgraded firmware to 2.18 cleaned sensor and am just starting to explore this cameras merits and flaws. I must say I do find the DR exciting and the film simulation modes as well. Camera is slow as a tortoise compared to my Nikon DSLR's but sometimes speed isn't the biggest attribute.
