This is a gallery where you are invited to post one of your images that you are pleased with so that folks can comment on them. So please enter the image into your own Gallery to be found in your profile, then copy the image and a link back to it, into this thread. NO competition entries please - they have a place already and this is for those that might otherwise go unseen.

Who decided that a bokeh makes for an artistic image I wonder? Is it really artistic or simply a modern trendy fad - used to excess in particular by sports photographers?

The highest shutter peed i can go on the HS30 is only 4 seconds and I have seen on many sites that the highest shutter speed is 30 seconds. how can i fix this?please help because i have tried everything,on every mode and tried arranging the setting but nothing happened http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/compact-digital-cameras/fujifilm-finepix-hs30-exr-review-50007695/

I have the fuji finepix HS30EXR. Currently I am trying to take a photo of the International Space station. Which is currently flying very low and very bright in the night sky. The problem I am having is when I change the ISO to high or it's max it changes the shutter speed to a second which is completely useless for what I'm trying to achieve. This is really frustrating me as I understand the aperture, the shutter speed etc and iso to make a good picture. But my camera will not give 30 seconds SS with a high ISO. Please if you can, give me some advice as to what you'd recommend.

Hey guys!I have a HS30 Exr, and I LOVE pictures using a shallow depth of field so the background is blurred. It took ages to decide to get this bridge - I originally wanted  a dslr - but I have it now, and I really want to use shallow depth of field in my photographs - but I'm unsure how to do - but its hard to find the infomation for a bridge camera.

Pretty Heidelberg with castle and bridge. And now at 625 mm  Ok, it's the other side of Mannheim (I think) but it shows the extremes of what can be done with the very nice X-S1.  And OK, Heidelberg is a bit blown out in the centre of the panorama because I didn't take enough care.

I've been watching various Youtube videos over the weekend and found a lot of inspiration from waterdrop photo's to levitation photos. One artistic idea I've seen is the below video but I dont think the HS20 can do this. If anyone can correct me please feel free. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2lHQJFJ-nc

Please note that this week's MEG IS NOT the usual format - just a warning not to have your fingers on the trigger waiting for the off - you will have to do some thinking about this!!!!

We have all been disturbed, disrupted, discomforted, and distraught recently because of the 'Site Maintenance' and thoughts that My Finepix might be at an end. It has helped many folk to become better photographers - me amongst them (even tho I had to say it myself!!). The site is unique and as many have said it is the folk who offer their help and advice on photography, their sympathy and understanding in times of trouble, they share your joys and your sorrows. They are glad for your successes and help out when there are failures.

For normal shooting, I set the zoom at 50mm (35 mm equiv) 50 mm closley matches the focal length of the human eye and gives less perspective distortion. Prior to digital cameras, most good 35mm cameras came with a 50 mm lense. The manufacturers knew this.

I have been trying to take pictures of my 3 boys. Everyone that I have taken indoors seems to be grainey when I print it. But seems to look ok on the camera screen. Any suggestions? I am new to this but love capturing my boys!

was trying out my xs1 today and discover a blue halo at the center of the frame when shot skyward at some trees. seems to be occurring only at certain focal length [80-105 35mm equiv] also, seems to be better when aperture set to a smaller f number. What could be wrong?at f7.1

I have to say I'm impressed with the technical quality of the X-S1.  More or less full zoom at 1/80th, quite difficult lighting, and through the glass of a window too.  I've also put the original in my gallery before cropping and a little bit of processing.
