Join Me For Breakfast!
Submitted by Welsh Jen on Fri, 06/05/2011 - 11:09
You will be surprised and maybe horrified at what goes on in your own back garden. It's not all bird tweets and Magnolias

Good morning, is my breakfast ready?

Ah, I see she has put out mealworms and stale cake for me. No croissants then?!

Oh well, let's get stuck in.

Nearly all down, by God these mealworms are dry!

If I suck hard on this side, maybe?

Pudding, thanks Jen, I love Lemon Drizzle cake!

I'm stuffed I tell you, stuffed
Same place, same time tomorrow!
Sidney the Slug has breakfast.

I like it very much, Unda gets annoyed when I do slug Macros but they are still wildlife to me. A pleasant, amusing narrative and lovely, unusual pictures. A bit quirky but thats good too in my book.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Very nearly put me off my Morrison's cheese-topped baton. I do hate those blow-hole things that look as if they've got some rotting disease.

Jennifer - this is a step too far - first Snappy placing spiders in the Good Morning thread and now those dreaded slugs. Get the salt pot out and banish them. The birds will enjoy them so be rid of them for good.

Great blog , I don`t mind slugs unless they are eating my hostas then they have to be removed and taken for walkies over the field at the back of me

This is just what the doctor ordered on my return from a day of stress at work. Fantastic macros and some great narrative. I'm not a slug fan as I don't like cold slimy objects, but your blog had me smiling all the way through.
I agree with Viv and cannot wait for episode 2.
thank you for sharing

A wonderful "slug-blog" When you get as close as this to anything in nature, I think ti's great. Whoever thought of designing some of these critters, is a marvel.
Thanks for introducing us to Sydney.

I loved this, who would have thought snails would be so colourfull? You've done an amazing job of capturing them, the detail is fantastic. I can't say I want to rush straight out and find one for a pet, but I'll certainly look at them in a new light from now on.
Awesome!

Uugh! I avoided this at first, but just found it and plucked up the nerve to look at it. Great blog, but slugs and maggoty things? You've put me right off my tea!
