Meeting the Fuji clan in York............Part one!
Now where do i begin?
It all started with an idea for a meet, there was lots of excitement before hand on the site getting ready to meet the fuji CLAN!! And i must say, i wasnt disappointed when i got there, what a fantastic bunch they are!

York Meet

After being met at the airport by G, we made our way to this street in York......Viv's street! woohooo. Not long now until i meet her face to face! Mmmm wonder which one is her's???

Here she is, its 'OUR VIV'!

She has it all on her doorstep, shops, takeaways, even a pub! Where i hear she has drunk them dry of baileys!!!!!!

Theres even a windmill at the top of her street!

I just loved this little door which was round the corner from her.

After a quick cuppa at Viv's she said......'On to York, to meet the others'
We just did as we were told!!!
But my excitement was building at the prospect of meeting everyone i will admit!

Monty and Ali getting to know each other. She was as excited as me hahaha

I did tell Viv, it would be better if she came round the other side of the table to take her pics, i dont think the back of Steve, Ali and Monty's heads makes for a good pic!!!!!!

Pam and Gerry soon joined in the fun.....sorry about the blur but Gerry just wouldnt stay still!!!

Look at Viv, cosying up to Guy!!!!!

At this point i would like to show you the many faces of Guy....a very hard man to photograph!!!!!

'If i put my hands in front of my face they wont see me!!!'
See what i mean.......a very hard man to photograph!!!

But i finally got one!!!

Then we were on our way off to see the sights of York.......well Viv didnt want to pay the £2.50 for the parking!!!

Off to 'The Shambles' we went, we had to leave poor viv on the corner of a street cos her scooter couldnt handle the cobbles!!

But it rained, so we didnt linger too long, and we didnt want Viv on her own for too long!

After saying bye bye to some of the Clan, those of us left went for a meal these two scrub up well dont they?

I dont know what Steve was on, but if it makes his glasses do that...then i want some hahaha

Steve hypnotised by the candle!

And Guy pretending he was only drinking coffee!!!!

We had a lovely meal at the 'Go Down', the craic was brilliant and even the chef joined in!

I will leave you with the 'hypnotising candle' as i will be back with part two of our York meet.....i have so much more to show you all!!!!!! Even a few sights of York!

Hello Snugs
Nice to see a different angle on the meet. I had no idea you had taken those "meal" shots. Well that many. Viv and Guy do scrub up very well don't they. What a meet, the best yet I reckon and I thought Lincoln went well. This one will be hard to top.
Thanks for part one, part two no doubt after you have snuggled up to Molly for a few hours!!! Why not, she looks so "snuggleupable". A bit like yourself!!

Great blog. Each one from York is different and adds to the whole. A great craic by the look of it.
What makes you think that the front of Monty's and Steve's heads are better than the backs?

Looks like a great meet Rosie, love your photo of Steve with his wonky specs!! It was worth the journey by the looks of it.

Well what can I say?
You seem to have caught another side of York I didn't see.
But it wasn't all about York, it was about meeting friends. I don't think it would have mattered where we were. We had such a great time.
It was a joy meeting you Rosie and I can say you were just as mad "in the flesh" as you are in the bar.
I know it's a long way for you, but I do hope we get to meet again.
MontyXX.
PS. John...I've got your card marked.

Brilliant blog Rosie ~ just brilliant! A wonderful insight to your time in York. How many times have I wished that I was there with you all. I should have sent a cardboard cut out of me (or photo)...ha ha..The wedding went well and I couldn't resist logging onto the netbook lappy in our hotel room to catch up on events in York.. LOL..I so missed being with you all especially as we were looking into hotels and train times months ago then the dates clashed.. Anyway, I hope to meet up with you all soon. Thanks for sharing your weekend. Catch up soon for a chat. Love Alison xx
