Jane's waterdrops blog (fourth time of trying.)

Today I have been mostly doing this..............

Dropping water onto a CD to catch the spectrum of colours.

The blues seems to be on one side............

.............. and the yellows on the other.

Bright sunlight creates many pretty colours and flares.

Like a spinning planet in orbit.

The lines on my drops are my louvre blinds, not easy to avoid images of camera, hands and pictures on the wall!

Also difficult to avoid capturing scratches, fluff and dust on the CD surface.

Surprizing how many colours and shapes can be found.

Most of these shots were taken on Automatic in Macro mode. My shot was about half of the CD, then I cropped in close.

I cloned out some dust spots, and altered the brightness and saturation in some of the shots.

This drop has a bubble in it, I had to be quick as they soon disappear.

I find this to be addictive, I load one lot of shots, then feel I can do better and keep trying to improve.

I probably deleted about one hundred shots. I love being retired, so much time to fiddle about.

This is a perfect example of dust ruining a gorgeous drop, damn it!
I am now hoping this will copy, as I have already lost three attempts when I tried to save it and the page could not be found..........
If it loads, I hope you enjoy it!!

These are brilliant Jane. keep meaning to have a go but don't find the time. Maybe one for retirement if I can't get round to it. Very impressed with the sharpness of these and sparkle you have achieved.
Would be interested to know what your lighting set up was.

I spend my time looking at other peoples way of spending there time during retirement
but what better than marveling at the world around us and a little escapism into the digital world. The three water drops in a receding row are my favourite. Jane, I think you aught to put it in your galley, I think its a cracker. PS I think I saw a pile of ironing in one of the reflections
